Mr. Thomas NAHIMANA is no longer a member of ISHEMA party.
1. In July 2021, the Congress of ISHEMA Party elected Mrs Nadine Claire KASINGE as the flagbearer in the presidential elections scheduled in Rwanda in 2024. This decision was reaffirmed in the press release N°ISH2023/09/008 of September 21, 2023.
2. On October 8th, 2023, Mr. Thomas NAHIMANA announced his plans to run for the same presidential elections.
3. The leadership of the ISHEMA Party has examined NAHIMANA’s decision to challenge the candidate of his own party, and based on the provisions of the Constitution of the ISHEMA Party, it would like to inform all Rwandans the following:
- Mr. Thomas NAHIMANA is no longer a member of ISHEMA Party.
- He is not allowed to perform any duty on behalf of ISHEMA Party.
- He has lost the confidence he used to enjoy as one of the party’s members.
4. The leadership of ISHEMA Party takes this opportunity to remind the national and international community that Mrs Nadine Claire KASINGE is the Party’s candidate for the presidential elections scheduled for the year 2024.
5. ISHEMA Party calls on all Rwandans who are fighting for change in Rwanda to join hands together until the ruthless dictatorship enthroned in Rwanda is defeated.
