Press Release No ISH2020/07/009/EN

From June 27 to 28 ,2020,  Ishema Party held an extraordinary congress .The purpose of this extraordinary congress was to review  how the members of Ishema Party (Abataripfana) can continue to coordinate their efforts in order to contribute to the liberation from the dictatorial yoke  that their country, Rwanda , continues to endure, where the basic freedoms of the general citizenry continue to be violated.

 After listening to the speakers and invited experts on the history of Rwanda, geopolitics and communication, the delegates exchanged views on the problems that Rwanda is experiencing today.

Having analyzed the role played by partners and politicians from foreign countries in Rwanda, in particular, and the countries of the African Great Lakes region in general,

After having assessed the harmful consequences of the COVID-19  pandemic likely to influence the global politics;

The delegates observed :

1. That Rwanda is a country with a well known history. Unfortunately, this history is often falsified to serve the interests of small cliques in order to spread lies so that      different criminals are shielded from prosecution. The consequences of such behaviour mean that the people are deprived of their right to know their past and because of that , they are brought to fight the battles they don’t understand and often make uninformed decisions.

2. Rwanda  is a country located in African Great Lakes region, a region endowed with natural resources coveted by various world powers. For this fact, a confrontation between these powers negatively influences governance and affects the livelihoods of the populations of the region. For this, national policies are distracted from the main priorities whcih should be in first place, the socio-economic welfare of the people.

3. The development speed and the high level of information technology means can serve as a timely way to improve governance and correct the various mistakes of the past.

The delegates took the following resolutions:

a. To create a synergy aimed at educating and empowering the people. To this end, there will be initiated “a forum of light philosophers” from experts in different fields (history, sociology and others fields ) driven by the desire to share knowledge and experiences, and help Rwandans to improve their level of understanding and promotion of social life, independence and true humanism.

b. To pay a particular attention to the interests that foreign countries in the region and insist on the fact that these cannot be guaranteed by ignoring the fundamental freedoms of citizens.

c. To continue to sensitize all Rwandans to fight for their freedom while resisting anyone who want to usurp their sovereignty.
